Casa Blanca is a small cluster of 5 cottages/condominiums just across the street from the sandy southern end of Tamarindo beach. The buildings are masked by trees and an abundance of large tropical plants so that just meters from the road is a secret little Eden shrouded in quiet. All of Casa Blanca’s units sit in a circle facing a central area that features a large pool and common deck area with lounge chairs and full barbeque facilities. The pool and its surroundings are communicated with the parking area and the outside world by a unique stone bridge that arches over a corner of the pool.
This two-bedroom beach cottage at Casa Blanca is located in a quiet corner of the complex. The private patio in front of the cottage is comfortably furnished for outdoor dining or lounging.
Inside the double glass doors, the living room has the homey feel of a cabin. From the wooden beams of the ceiling to the eclectic collections of artwork on the walls and books on the shelves, this beach cottage has the feel of a place you’ve been before. The kitchen is open to the living room, being separated only by a bar and has the same homey comfort as the living room. It is flooded with natural light by a large window and, along with the refrigerator and gas oven and stove, it offers all of the cooking and serving items necessary. The many screened windows and ceiling fans allow this cottage to make use of natural air movement instead of depending on air conditioning.
A small hallway beside the kitchen leads to a bedroom on one side and a bathroom on the other. The comfortable bedroom has a queen bed and another set of double glass doors onto the patio. A stairway beside the hall goes up to a loft bedroom above the one on the first floor. This charming loft with a double bed is open to the living area on three sides and to the patio by a wall of screened windows.
The great thing about the Casa Blanca Beach Cottage is the fact that the beach is just across the street. It’s is an ideal spot for surfers, nature lovers, and families who want the quiet of a garden cottage just steps away from one of the world’s most beautiful stretches of beach.
