The Lucky Monkey is a very unique property with two three-story houses set in a grassy courtyard with a small, shared pool in the center. The property itself needs a little explanation. When looking at the picture of both Lucky Monkey houses, the building located at the front left with the garage is Lucky Monkey 1 and the building in the back right is Lucky Monkey 2. The two houses can be rented individually – or together to accommodate a large group.
Lucky Monkey 1, the larger front left building has four bedrooms on the first two levels and a master suite on the third level. The master suite has a separate kitchen and dinning area, private entrance, and separate parking in the back, but can easily be combined to the rest of the house by opening a security door with a deadbolt lock. It also has a separate set of stairs.
The living area of LM1 opens on to a large patio above the garage outside the kitchen bay window. The large living area in LM1 also opens to a patio next to the pool through French doors and a sliding glass door.
All of the bedrooms in LM1 and the master suite have king size beds (5 including the master suite, which also has a standard pullout couch). There is also a standard pullout sofa sleeper in the largest room on the second floor (good for parents that want to keep their children in the same room or family members who don't mind sharing). LM1 also has a private covered secured garage that fits three cars and has a remote control metal door. Every level has a huge balcony, the biggest one on the first level above the garage. LM1 is approx. 4,200 square feet.
Lucky Monkey 2 has four bedrooms plus the living room has a retractable wall with a full bath that can be easily converted into a fifth bedroom. LM2 can fit 10 people if they are all couples or if they share beds. The entire top floor is the master/matrimonial suite. A double sized patio door makes almost an entire glass wall facing the sunset. A spacious bathroom doubles as a spa with a Jacuzzi tub on one side and the bedroom itself has a California king, and some living room furniture. The three bedrooms on the second floor all have queen size beds. There is a spectacular view of Tamarindo Bay & about 120 degree ocean view from the top two levels, while the ocean is visible from the lower level and pool.
There is separate parking in the back of LM2 and a private entrance. LM2 is approx 3,200 square feet.
The kitchens of both houses are fully equipped and include stainless steel dishwasher, refrigerator, and stove with oven – plus you’ll find stunning granite counter tops and giant windows that flood the room with tropical sunshine. A laundry room with washer/dryer and laundry sink open off of the kitchen. You’ll also find a half bath at the base of the stairs in both LM1& LM2.
An arched doorway with a relief ceiling leads from the living area to the hall in LM2 and the base of the majestic stone stairway that curls around itself as it leads to the second and third level are present in both LM1 & LM2.
LM1 & LM2 are similar on the second level. There are three bedrooms. Two identical rooms with either king or queen size beds share a bathroom between them and each open onto a rounded patio overlooking either the tropical forest foliage or the ocean, Tamarindo Bay, and the pool. The forest foliage to the back and side of the house is often frequented by a friendly troop of monkeys. A third ample suite with its own private bath and patio also overlooks the pool, and has a spectacular view of the ocean – and from LM1 there is a fabulous panoramic ocean view.
CASA "Lucky Monkey Property" is located just a short 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the beach or center of Tamarindo, the town made famous by the classic surf flick "Endless Summer". From the property perched on the hill above Tamarindo Bay the ocean view is visible beyond the seascape sunset. Even from the ground floor there is an ocean view beyond the trees, and the view from the higher floors has up to a 220 degree panoramic view of Playa Grande, the Estuary, Tamarindo Bay, and all the way to Playa Pinilla.
Tucked at the end of the street, this is a perfect spot to escape the world and enjoy the peace, quiet, and serenity that await you!!
